Alato builds bioacoustics hardware and software that turns wildlife sounds into actionable insights for conservation and research.
Our goal is to build easy-to-use affordable hardware and software for conservationists, ecologists, and community groups so they can better understand the biodiversity in their environment and make the best decisions for our native fauna.
We are on the path with the development of our new full spectrum acoustic monitor the SoundScout due for launch in 2026 and the launch of Alato Labs, our analysis software that automatically detects NZ bat species from bioacoustic data.
We are a key partner of the Department of Conservation (DOC), Councils and large community groups to build products that not only serve a purpose but that make an impact.
The AR4 and AR5 are New Zealands most used acoutic monitor.
We proudly support NZ conservation with discounted pricing and project support to ensure our precious native species not only survive but thrive.
